All original and with the original hard case, this bass is by many considered the best acoustic bass ever produced. Extremely rare as only a few hundreds of these have been made in the US between 1975 and 1987.

Crafted by one of the best Fender Builder himself , this 2010 Fender Jazz Bass custom shop master built is absolutely divine.

The Masterbuilt line, Fender Custom Shop’s top tier series, features special instruments crafted under the personal supervision of a select group of highly skilled “Master Builders” from the Custom Shop, who take full responsibility for every step of the process, from wood selection to final adjustments.

This instrument is a Jazz Bass crafted by Master Builder Jason Smith.

Having studied under the legendary Master Builder John English and been involved in the creation of numerous artist models, Jason Smith is known as a builder who enjoys the deep trust of many top bassists, including Flea and Steve Harris.

Built in 2010, this instrument features a very light ash body, a gorgeous rosewood fingerboard with pearl block inlays , while incorporating modern features like string through and 5 screw neck plate, resulting in the unique specifications characteristic of a Master-Built instrument.

The use of a Fender string through bridge and lightweight tuning pegs achieves excellent body balance and a modern look.

Super comfortable neck profile, providing a solid, comfortable grip.

It has a perfect midrange presence and a mellow tone, yet it’s by no means a dark sound, instead it offers a well-defined, lively tone.

The sustain is incredibly pleasing.

The Masterbuilt sound is a cut above the regular line.

Highlights:
Gorgeous early 5 strings musicman bass in great condition .
The black finish has barely a mark and the neck is as good as it gets.
These early 5 still have lacquered necks and metal battery cover, some of the original features from the early days of the stingray bass.
Frets in good condition, neck really comfortable and the tone is ridiculously good.
The original preamp and pickups works like new.

1991 MUSICMAN STINGRAY BASS IN AMAZING CONDITION WITH ORIGINAL CASE

Highlights:
Here we have a gorgeous example of early musicman stingray bass.
Made in USA in 1991, this bass has a lot of the features of the pre ernieball stingrays and it’s one of the last with the thin and lacquer finished neck, soon replaced in 93 with the modern unfinished oil rubbed satin chunky neck.
Another great feature is the early high mass bridge with the original Musicman mute system and the metal battery lid later replaced with plastic.
4.4 Kg , so not an heavy one either.
A very clean and gorgeous bass, especially for a 35 years old instrument.

1963 Fender Precision Bass in Sunburst Finish With Fender Hard Case – PRE CBS

This one is in great condition, with a spectacular tone and feel , great for players or any collector.

All hardware and electronic is completely original , with the legendary  black bobbin pickups and pots dated 49th week of 1963.

The bass has been in restored by the one and only Jeff Mallia,  who put new frets , touched up and polished the original finish and oiled the back of the neck to give it a smoother feel.

The original tort pickguard is absolutely stunning  and the original bridge and pickup covers are still on.

The neck profile is amongst the best I have experienced and the bass is light as a feather.

1976 Fender Precision Bass in Original Natural finish With Original Hard Case

Highlights:

Really nice wood grain for this 1976 Fender Precision Bass.

This 49 years old stunner is very light and makes the perfect player without breaking the bank.

Has been played but it’s still all original and retain the natural factory finish.

Frets were quite worn so it had a professional regret and has no buzz and a nice low action now.

Like most of the natural finished fender from this era , a fair bit of the clear coat peeled but the undercoat and sealant are still intact and in good condition and had some clear poly touch up.

The pickguard retains the original sticker with serial matching the headstock one.

Body and neck stamped armenta which is consider one of the best fender workers of his time.

Pots and pickups dated 1976 with untouched solder joints.

Overall a great instrument with a solid B profile neck and a marvellous tone and a very light and comfortable weight.

It has also been sprayed in a matte satin clear and has a Funk Plate and Ramp, both veneered in tiger myrtle to match the jarrah binding and bridge. String Spacing: Classic (approx 19mm between strings at the bridge) Due to the low serial number, a unique build and the addition of customer requested mods, this bass has true potential for collectibility. A few notes: This is only the second bass we’ve made with a zero radius fingerboard. Note the cypress veneer over the laminates in the centre of the body. 1963 Fender Jazz Bass in Sunburst finish – Pre CBS – With Original Case

From the 4th year of production, this 61 years old Fender Jazz Bass is just perfection. Great weight, amazing tone, super comfortable neck profile, coveted Brazilian rosewood fretboard and a stunning 3 tone sunburst finish, all topped by the original rare cream tolex hard case, which was only made for less than a year. The alder body is resonant and light, finished in a beautiful 3 colour sunburst where the red hasn’t faded and still nice and vibrant. The pickguard doesn’t have cracks or the common snapped horns and doesn’t show signs of shrinking. The original 1963 pots work without scratches and the black bobbin pickups sounds delightful. Straight neck with a fully functional trussrod and a nice and smooth profile , so comfortable to play. Pickups covers in great condition as the rest of the original hardware. One for players and collectors.
