Tobias basses feature a slim neck, Pau Ferro fingerboard, 24 frets, neck-thru design, Bartolini pickups, and a 34″ scale length. This particular one is light and beside a bit of wear around the pickup in the thumb resting position, it’s in great condition. Comes with original TOBIAS black tolex hard case.

Not to be confused with the Asian Musicman Sterling sub brand , this is the original USA Sterling model and it’s based on the stingray, but with a thinner neck and more tonal options. Perfect, not one mark or scuff equipped with the sought after original Flea high mass bridge with mutes. Gorgeous Birdseye maple neck and the sunburst finish is just spot on. Comes with the rare short tolex case which was only available for the first few months of production of this American Musicman Ernie Ball model. A great bass, as a player or collector piece. Renowned for its slightly smaller body and neck profile, the Sterling 4 string bass boasts a big sound. Nine volt active 3 band EQ preamp, 3 position pickup selector switch, and a ceramic humbucker with hum canceling phantom coil come standard, equipping the Sterling to cut through any mix. The optional addition of a pickup in the neck position adds even more versatility to this innovative bass. One of the nicest rickenbacker I have ever played , all original , light weight and an absolute stunner.

The checking on the finish is something no custom shop could ever replicate.

PRCE DROPPED – 1977 GIBSON THUNDERBIRD BICENTENNIAL BASS IN SUNBURST FINISH WITH ORIGINAL CASE

Highlights:
Great condition for this rare Gibson US made 1977 Thunderbird Bass from the limited Bicentennial edition. These basses were only produced form 1976 to 1979 and less than 2000 were made, according to Gibson. This one is all original and its surprisingly light with a phenomenal sustain and such an incredible tone. The neck is slim and comfortable and action is nice and low. Frets are in good condition and everything works as it should. The original alnico pickup are just magic and the high output is quite amazing considering they are nearly 50 old. Strap pin has been moved and original screw hole professionally filled but that’s all. The original Black tolex hard case is in great nick too with all the original latches working as they should . One for collectors and players.

Light as a feather due to the alder body and with the very rare and coveted Brazilian rosewood slab fretboard.

The original pickup is just pure magic and the neck is super comfortable and slim .

All parts on the bass are genuine beside the nut and frets which have been redone as they were to worn .

One of the best looking basses I have had the pleasure to own and play and a piece of Australian rock history

1978 MUSICMAN STINGRAY BASS IN NATURAL FINISH – LIGHT WEIGHT

Highlights:

Original rare early musicman Stingray from the third year of production with the original coveted black epoxy preamp.

The neck and body are stamped 1978 and the Tone and sustain of this bass is out of this world.

Grain on the ash body is gorgeous and the ageing and mojo is just sublime.

The weight is really good as these B00 usually weight close to 5kg but this particular one sits at 4kg which makes a lot more comfortable to play for long gigs and one of the lightest I have ever seen.

Being an early one , it has the original high mass bridge with string through the body.

The Bone nut has been swapped for a brass one at some point.

Preamp , pickup and pots are perfectly working with no buzz or scratchy noise.

These are skyrocketing everywhere and they are considered the precbs of musicman.

1977 Fender Precision Bass in Original Natural finish

Highlights:

Very nice condition Fender Precision Bass, made in 1977 in the US. This bass has a really nice neck profile , not too heavy sitting at 4.4kg and has a really nice growl, classic of this Fender era . All original , just had some copper shielding applied inside the electronic cavity to get a rid of any sort of hum but it’s just copper tape , so easy to remove (I wouldn’t as it’s an improvement and doesn’t devalue it). Frets in good condition and trussrod moves smooth left and right with zero issues. Action in low with no buzz and the original pots and pickups works like new. Great player and a beautiful looking instrument.
