1968 RICKENBACKER 4001 BASS IN FIREGLO FINISH WITH ORIGINAL HARD CASE
$18,500.00
Absurdly rare, these 60s rickenbacker 4001 basses are some of the most sought after instruments on the planet , and for a good reason.
Completely unmolested and inside the original case, this bass is something else.
Crushed pearl inlays, checkerboard binding , toaster pickup, horseshoe pickup, mono jack input , bigger headstock , reversed kluson tuners.
All features only available through the 60s and discontinued the following decade when production ramped up.
Apparently only 83 fireglo 68 4001 were produced and this is a perfect example of the craftmanship and attention to details of those days.
Phenomenal tone, great weight and really nice neck profile.
The original case has seen better days and has been over sprayed but it’s still there and that’s all it matters.
Partial trade alway welcome

FENDER KINGMAN ACOUSTIC BASS WITH HARD CASE AND EXTRAS
Fender Kingman Acoustic Bass In immaculate condition, with $400 extras and a professional setup. Just setup by my luthier, it now plays beautifully and with a very low action and a great tone. It comes with a hard case instead of the gig bag they normally come with. Also included are a Boss TU80 tuner and a Genuine Fender leather strap (RRP$200). This bass plays way better than any kinsman I have tried in store due to the professional setup, it’s just magnificent. Inspired by the iconic designs of Fender electric guitars, California Player acoustics evoke the west coast spirit of adventure and freedom, inviting musicians to explore their individual creativity and disrupt the status quo. Crafted with an X-braced solid spruce top and laminate sapele back and sides, the compact mid-sized auditorium body of the Kingman Bass produces a deep, punchy, and articulate tone and features a cutaway for convenient access to the upper frets. The bound nato neck is includes block inlays with a slim “C”-shaped Jazz Bass profile. It is an easy-to-play short 30″ scale length. Other notable details include open-gear vintage-style tuning machines for smooth, accurate tuning, a GraphTech NuBone nut and saddle for focused fundamental tone, and a Fishman Presys preamp system that allows detailed fine-tuning of the bass’s amplified sound when performing or recording.

1994 US Ernie Ball Musicman Sterling Bass in Mint Condition With Original Case
Another bass from my personal time machine. This Musicman Sterling Bass is an absolute stunner . Not to be confused with the Asian Musicman Sterling sub brand , this is the original USA Sterling model and it’s based on the stingray, but with a thinner neck and more tonal options. Perfect, not one mark or scuff equipped with the sought after original Flea high mass bridge with mutes. Gorgeous Birdseye maple neck and the sunburst finish is just spot on. Comes with the rare short tolex case which was only available for the first few months of production of this American Musicman Ernie Ball model. A great bass, as a player or collector piece. Renowned for its slightly smaller body and neck profile, the Sterling 4 string bass boasts a big sound. Nine volt active 3 band EQ preamp, 3 position pickup selector switch, and a ceramic humbucker with hum canceling phantom coil come standard, equipping the Sterling to cut through any mix. The optional addition of a pickup in the neck position adds even more versatility to this innovative bass. The Sterling delivers comfort, functionality, and the precision craftsmanship and attention to detail you’ve come to expect from Ernie Ball Music Man.

PRICE DROPPED – 1979 RICKENBACKER 4001 BASS IN MAPLE FINISH
One of the nicest rickenbacker I have ever played , all original , light weight and an absolute stunner.
The checking on the finish is something no custom shop could ever replicate.
The neck is slim and action is slow with a superb playability. Classic Ricky thunderous tone with that clarity and growl typical of these instruments.
The original electronic works perfectly and the original hard case is in very nice condition with all the latches still fully functional.
One for the players and collectors.

1963 Fender Jazz Bass in Sunburst finish – Pre CBS – With Original Case
From the 4th year of production, this 61 years old Fender Jazz Bass is just perfection. Great weight, amazing tone, super comfortable neck profile, coveted Brazilian rosewood fretboard and a stunning 3 tone sunburst finish, all topped by the original rare cream tolex hard case, which was only made for less than a year. The alder body is resonant and light, finished in a beautiful 3 colour sunburst where the red hasn’t faded and still nice and vibrant. The pickguard doesn’t have cracks or the common snapped horns and doesn’t show signs of shrinking. The original 1963 pots work without scratches and the black bobbin pickups sounds delightful. Straight neck with a fully functional trussrod and a nice and smooth profile , so comfortable to play. Pickups covers in great condition as the rest of the original hardware. It has also been sprayed in a matte satin clear and has a Funk Plate and Ramp, both veneered in tiger myrtle to match the jarrah binding and bridge. String Spacing: Classic (approx 19mm between strings at the bridge) Due to the low serial number, a unique build and the addition of customer requested mods, this bass has true potential for collectibility. A few notes: This is only the second bass we’ve made with a zero radius fingerboard. Note the cypress veneer over the laminates in the centre of the body. This is only the second instrument on which we’ve veneered over the laminates. In addition to the Funk Plate a ramp has been added between the rear pickup and bridge. This is the first bass on which we’ve ever installed a ramp. Both the Funk Plate and the ramp have been surfaced with Tasmainian tiger myrtle. For greater durability the top has been sprayed in a satin matte lacquer over the original hand rubbed oil.
