1960 Fender Precision Bass in Sunburst finish – Brazilian Rosewood Slab Fretboard – the holy grail
$14,950.00
1960 Fender Precision Bass from the best era of Fender.
This bass is a phenomenal player, sitting at 3.8 kg of weight and with a tone and a feel that cannot be replicated by any custom shop or reissue, this is the real deal.
The coveted Brazilian rosewood slab board only lasted from 1959 to 1962 when it got replaced by the veneer one.
This instrument had a full refret , new nut and a complete refinish but every part of the bass is genuine , from the pickups, to the pots, to the hardware.
The original black bobbins pickup sounds amazing as it should and one side has been rewound at some point.
pots are dated 47th week of 1959.
Neck is dated 5/60 and body is dated 11/59, quite common with fender those days, cause they were ramping up production at a very fast pace.
I have had many precbs basses in here but this one is one of the best I have played so far, with a perfect tone and a great sustain.
Comes with a new hard case
